RECOSTAL® 1000 AFB
RECOSTAL® 1000 AFB are permanent formworks used for creating construction joints in reinforced concrete structures. To ensure higher rigidity for taller elements, the load-bearing structure consists of trusses and bracings. The sealing system may include steel waterstops coated with active bentonite, bitumen, or other sealing coatings.
The Benefits:
Fast and easy installation – saves time and labor on site.
Self-supporting design – no crane or additional formwork needed.
High rigidity and stability – reinforced with truss and bracing systems.
Reliable waterproofing – compatible with bentonite, bitumen, or other sealing systems.
Lightweight and cost-efficient – minimizes transport and handling costs.

At the location of the designed construction joint, place RECOSTAL® Spacecon or a concrete spacer under the bottom reinforcement to ensure the required concrete cover. Fix RECOSTAL® 1000 AFB to the reinforcement bars using binding wire or by welding. Then insert the sealing sheet into the specially prepared slot. The overlap between consecutive formwork elements should be at least 5 cm and secured with binding wire or self-tapping screws. Above the top reinforcement, install RECOSTAL® DFS or a wooden batten. After concreting and curing, remove the wooden batten.
